Admission and Applications

There shall be general and programme specific regulations.

The minimum ebtry requirements for undergraduate programmes are 5 Ordinary Level passes including English Language if one is above 25 years of age or an additional 2 Advanced Level passes if one is below 25 years of age. Admission may also be through the Accredited Prior Learning process outlined in (3) below.

The minimum entry requirements for postgraduate programmes shall be at least 2.2 or better in a relevant first degree and any other relevant professional qualifications.

International students shall be required to undergo an oral and written communication skills test to assess their proficiency in English.  English shall be the official language of instruction.

Application forms for admission are either obtained from the University Admissions Department or downloaded from the website www.wua.ac.zw

2.) ADMISSION

POLICY
Admission at the University shall be at the following levels:
o    Certificate
o    Diploma
o    Undergraduate
o    Postgraduate

PROCEDURE
Application forms shall be submitted to the Admissions Office and then forwarded to the respective departments for selection.  The Admissions Office shall publish lists of successful applicants to whom offer letters will be forwarded.

Applications forms can be obtained from the University upon payment of a non-refundable application fee of USD30 for Zimbabwean applicants and USD50 for International applicants, reviewed from time to time. Alternatively the forms may be downloaded from the University website: www.wua.ac.zw and submitted with proof of payment of the application fee. The application should then be submitted together with certified copies of national ID card, birth certificate,educational certificates and curriculum vitae.
